Absolutely I am not willing to loss any chances for which I have been looking to challenge any teams as a member of whole team now.
As you know my limited time at weekend, especially Saturday is San(1) Pei(2) time for me. But I try to deal with it. Put me on hold.
One thing I concern is WG's availability, our team's top killer. As the email sent from MN_Chinese_VB_Club_Admin, very possibly I guess he might be hired as G (gun) if someone else wants an All-Star Chinese team.
Also does it conflict with the one that some of you guys will be playing with XXX?
Thanks.

Another tournament on March 4, 2006 (Saturday)
This is a whole day event, with 12 teams, 8 games for sure, $75.
If we want to go, could be a challenge to play for whole day, also needs support from our families.
Let me know what do you think?

I have transferred the recorded game to two WMA files. One is about 900M and the other is about 650M.
I will bring the files with me and save them in the public drive tomorrow. You guys can take a look. (I don't have the software to turn them into a DVD film, sorry.)
The second set of our first encounter with "hired guns" is not complete. We ran out of tape during that set and our photographer doesn't know how to change tapes at that time.
I also reviewed our games of first round. Here is the stats:
(此处略去XXX字. 表格无法pasted here.)
Note: The first Paragraph is the match with UofM, the second one is with "Hired guns".
Meanings of different categories:
Good Serve is a serve that prevents opponent from organizing effective offense.
Good Spike is a kill. Spike failure could be out of bound, not across the net or blocked.
Good Passing is a dig or pass that sends the ball comfortable to the setter. Passing Failure is a pass that sends the ball away from the setter. The ball could be either dead or saved by team mate.
Good setting leads to a smooth spike. Setting failure is a set that makes spiking impossible.
Saving is a difficult pass or dig. It is a response of either an attack of opponent or a bad passing from teammate.
Good blocking kill the ball on opponent's court. Blocking failure usually cause the ball out of bound.
The good:
First of all, Kudos to our setters. As you can see, we only have to setting errors. We also improves a lot in term of passing. We did not have as many passing errors as before. Serving is also a big factor here. YJ's serving is night and day different between the two games. We also block when our opponent attacks. I did not record the stat for our second match with "hired guns". I believe we have more blocking successes there.
The opportunity:
Serving aggressiveness: We need to improve on this category. With UofM, the only way to beat them is to affect their offense right from serving. SC, HM and BH need to work on this consciously.
Spiking: spikers need to be prepared all the time. I will be the first to admit that I was not always prepared. I need to get away from the net as soon as the ball is over on our court. The mistake leads to many weak spikes.
Setting: as we get better at regular setting, it is time to add some varieties to our offense. Quick attack and floating balls on No. 2 position will be our target for next.
Passing: well, we still have passing errors. Let's really minimize this.
Blocking: This will be our advantage among all the teams in this tournament. Let's work harder on this.
Nice playing with you guys. Can't wait to beat SouthWest for real and challenge Mosquito next time.
G
